IVOC, Indian Valley Opportunity Center
Craft-Bilt Manufacturing Company has participated in IVOC’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for numerous years. Our employees donate non-perishable and canned food items for families to have for the holiday. Craft-Bilt usually collects six big boxes and plus of cranberry sauce, stuffing and potato mixes, canned soups and juices. We then drop the boxes off to IVOC who sorts the items into holiday gift baskets, and offers them to surrounding families for Thanksgiving.
The ARC of Philadelphia / PDDC - Philadelphia Developmental Disabilities Corp
Each December Craft-Bilt employees share in the Christmas spirit by providing gifts to clients of the PDDC. Craft-Bilt supplies the names and gender of the PDDC clients to our employees to select from a “giving tree”. Employees may then select as many names of clients to buy gifts for. The gifts are wrapped and taken down to the Arc of Philadelphia location to be handed out to the clients.
A group of Craft-Bilt employees trek into Philadelphia as Santa’s helpers to hand the gifts out to the clients. We even have an employee dress up as Santa Claus and handout trinkets to the patrons. It is a very rewarding feeling to be able to bring Holiday cheer to the clients who are so appreciative of the little things and who absolutely love a visit from Santa.
Third Annual Golf Outing – as a PDDC Sponsor
The ARC of Philadelphia / PDDC - Philadelphia Developmental Disabilities Corp recently held their third annual fundraiser golf outing held at the Bala Cynwyd Country Club in Philadelphia. Since Craft-Bilt doesn’t want their employees to lose time from work to attend this event, they do the next best thing – sponsor students from the School District of Philadelphia to play. And after a day of golf, everyone is invited to stay for the auction dinner. This is a fun event for a great cause and Craft-Bilt is glad to be a sponsor.
